The Lahore Motorway or M-2 Motorway is a prime roadway connecting the metropolitan cities of Lahore and Rawalpindi/Islamabad. It's a 375km highway connecting the land within Punjab, Pakistan. This motorway, M-2 was initially suggested in the late 1990s by then-ruling Prime Minister who died in the mid 1990s, Mr. Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

M-2 Motorway M-2 Motorway is a notable element of the Asian Highway, AH1. Furthermore, M-2 Motorway has a significant role to play in the AH1 project, M-2 Motorway is among the most expensive construction projects across Asia within the Khewra Salt Range section. In 2016 the entire Lahore Motorway was renovated and was re-touched over several months. The work is currently being completed with a new system of M-tag that will begin in December 2021. It will be used for tolls.

The M-2 motorway lies in the west of Lahore close to the the Lahore's Thokar Niaz Baig junction of the N-5 (National Highway Junction). It passes through the Ravi River, diverges the Grand Trunk (GT Road) before heading towards the west, towards Sheikhupura.

Starting at the Sheikhupura interchange and the motorway follows along the Khanqah Gogran Interchange at a distance of 36 kilometres. It continues to Kallar Kahar before it it begins to go into the Salt Ranges. Once it has crossed into the Salt Range, the motorway turns north before reaching the west of Rawalpindi.
